DEFENSE SEEKS INSANITY PLEA IN DOUBLE MURDER CASE

The attorney for a woman accused of killing a mother and daughter last May in Atlantic City, has asked for a mental evaluation for her client. Antoinette Pelzer, 44, appeared in Superior Court on Wednesday with Holly Bitters, her court-appointed lawyer. Bitters is seeking an possible insanity defense for her client, who fatally stabbed two women as they walked down Pacific Avenue. Pelzer will be evaluated and is scheduled to appear in court again on February 4th.
