Firefighters responded to a blaze Friday evening that caused some damage on the Atlantic City boardwalk The fire was reported by city police officers around 5:40 p.m. at New Jersey Avenue in the vicinity of the Ocean Casino Resort. ACFD had the fire under control by 6:30 p.m., but fire crews stayed to quell hot spots an hour later. It was determined that debris under the boardwalk was the source. One firefighter was treated for minor injuries. A section of the boardwalk suffered damage and will need to be replaced. (Photo: City of Atlantic City – Government on Facebook)
