DEATH PENALTY SUPPORTED BY MAJORITY OF STATE RESIDENTS

There has been a change in thinking when it comes to the death penalty. The Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll says that 57 percent of state residents say they would support the death penalty for “certain crimes.” The numbers are close to the national average of 56 percent. New Jersey hasn’t used the death penalty since 1963 and law currently forbids it.
