New legislation will be considered that could bring back the death penalty. Sen. Robert Singer is proposing the bill in New Jersey when a criminal murders a child, a police officer in the line of duty, or commits a deadly terrorist attack. The death penalty has been off the books in New Jersey since 2007. The senator represents Lakewood, where a police officer was shot and killed a couple of weeks ago.
