The Dalai Lama is in New Jersey this weekend. There is a large peace event that is being held in Newark. Over 100 speakers are being brought in from all walks of life to discuss non-violence. Newark is a place that has seen an increased crime rate following a number of public safety layoffs. This Summit will examine productive solutions to the problems we face today. The participants will be charged with articulating these ideas so they can be adopted by communities where violence is a way of life.
