The number of new coronavirus deaths in New Jersey continues to trend down. New figures release on Friday show an additional 162 deaths over the past 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 8,952. Governor Phil Murphy says our hospital systems still are dealing with many more patients than normal. He says only the public can continue to drive that number down further.
