CUMBERLAND COUNTY NAMES NEW FREEHOLDER DIRECTOR

Cumberland County has a new director of its freeholder board. Joseph Derella was named the temporary freeholder director. The vote went 5-2 along party lines. William F. Whelan was the director previously but resigned recently among allegations that his wife was running an illegal daycare center. Derella will hold the post until the end of the year when reorganization takes place.
