CUMBERLAND COUNTY BRINGS IN 189 ARRESTS IN SWEEP

A state-wide program netted 189 arrests of fugitives in Cumberland County. The Summer Warrant Effective Enforcement Program, or SWEEP, was used in Cumberland County until Labor Day. The SWEEP brought in 143 arrests from Aug. 9 – 11. Local and county authorities helped assist in the clean up. Some of the arrests ranged from failure to pay child support, to weapon possession charges.
