An animal cruelty trial enters its second day on Tuesday in Cape May Court House. Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten is hearing the case against Thomas and Dawn Scheld of Goshen and their daughter Leann, who are facing charges of animal cruelty as the result of a raid by the SPCA in 2010. The family had 61 dogs on their property allegedly living in deplorable conditions. Defense attorneys are scheduled to conduct their cross examination on Tuesday.
