A fire tore through a home during the early morning hours Monday in Wildwood Crest. Police say a home located at 223 West Buttercup Road caught fire, and police made entry into the building to help evacuate several occupants. Two occupants remained in the home upstairs, but police were able to escort them out of the building. The officers who helped save the lives have been identified as Sgt. Christopher Webb, and Cpl.. William Giankopoulos.
