CRDA TO PAY FOR INCREASED POLICE IN ATLANTIC CITY’S TOURISM DISTRICT

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has announced it will provide funding for additional Class II police officers for Atlantic City’s Tourism District. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the CRDA will fund up to $1 million for training and equipment for 30 officers at the Atlantic County Police Academy. The Class II officers will also receive training on Tourism District awareness and customer service. The new officers will hit the streets in July, wearing vests and patches that say “Tourism District Patrol”.
