CRDA TO CONSIDER DEAL TO PROMOTE ATLANTIC CITY AND MISS AMERICA PAGEANT

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority will consider a deal to promote Atlantic City nationally on the ABC television network, along with the annual Miss America Pageant. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the deal would funnel about $12 million in state money to the Miss America Organization over the next three years to keep the pageant at Boardwalk Hall. Atlantic City would also get live national coverage on ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and the Billboard Music Awards. The CRDA will discuss the terms of the agreement at their meeting on Tuesday.
