CRASH IN SOMERS POINT KNOCKS OUT POWER TO THOUSANDS

A new report says that an overnight crash impacted the power grid in Somers Point. The Cape May County Herald reports that two vehicles had crashed in the area of Gregory’s Bar and Restaurant, which is located on the 600 block of Shore Road. One vehicle hit a utility pole which knocked out power to parts of Somers Point, Ocean City, and Egg Harbor Township. The Herald is reporting at least one person is dead, another in critical condition. Police have not released official information on the incident.
