New affordable housing rules have been turned back by an appellate panel. A three judge panel ruled that the guidelines set down by Gov. Chris Christie and the state have been blocked. Christie ended the Council on Affordable Housing, which had been in charge of the affordable housing rules. The court still will hear arguments after the new year on the reorganization efforts of the state.
