Both spending and the actual tax rate are going up in the 2019 Cape May County budget. This year’s county budget totals $161.2 million which reflects over a five percent increase in spending from last year. The county tax rate is expected to climb by three tenths of a penny. The County anticipates a surplus of $11 million.
