COUNTY TO BUY OCEAN CITY LAND FOR OPEN SPACE

The Ocean City Council met on Thursday and approved a plan on first reading that would result in some city owned property being sold to the county to be preserved as open space.  The price tag for the land is $2.3 million.  The property sits near the bay, and consists of four lots.  In return, Ocean City will lease back the marina property from the county for one dollar per year.  A public hearing on the land sale will take place in Ocean City on December 21st.
