The following update was provided by Cape May County regarding snow removal operations at 4:30pm Sunday:
Cape May County road crews have been working since 7 a.m. today. They started the day salting all county roads and bridges. Snow plowing began approximately at Noon.
Blowing snow and snow fall rate have hindered removing all of the snow from the roadways. Currently, 25 plow trucks are on the road with an equal amount of employees. County crews will continue to plow snow through the night and tomorrow. Additionally, F&S will have a crew working through the night clearing facilities and parking lots so County employees and emergency vehicles can access all 24 hour facilities.
Driving continues to be extremely hazardous on all roads and bridges.
