COUNTY PROSECUTOR WARNING ABOUT VIRTUAL KIDNAPPING SCAMS

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland is warning residents about virtual kidnapping and IRS scams that are going around the County.  Sutherland says phone calls are being made to prey on victims trying to extort money for the safe return of a kidnapping victim.  Sutherland advises residents not to transact money, get information, find out the whereabouts of a loved one, and contact local police.
