Former Wildwood Mayor Gary DeMarzo will be back in court on December 10th and the Cape May County Prosecutor would like to see a different judge on the bench. According to a report in this week’s Wildwood Leader, CMC Prosecutor Robert Taylor has filed a motion to recuse Supreme Court Judge Albert Garofolo in DeMarzo’s latest trial. According to the report, Taylor says that Judge Garofolo has already “prejudged the case” in favor of DeMarzo. The former mayor has been charged with two counts of misconduct and one count of criminal contempt, involving payment of his personal legal fees with public funds. Similar charges against DeMarzo were dismissed by Judge Garofolo back in April.
