COUNTY OEM DEVELOPS FIRST IN STATE: ONLINE FLOOD MAPPING SYSTEM

The Cape May County Office of Emergency Management has unveiled the first county flood mapping system in the State of New Jersey.  The new system is GIS-based, and offers guidance to property owners on how to interpolate flood forecasts as they relate to the potential impacts on their neighborhoods.  OEM Director Marty Pagliughi says the new flood mapping system will help municipalities make best decisions when it comes to sheltering and other emergency management decisions.
