Rita Marie Fulginiti will take her official oath as County Clerk on Friday, December 31, 2010 at noon at the Cape May County Museum. The Honorable John C. Porto, Judge of the Superior Court will administer the oath to commence her second term in office.
Fulginiti of Ocean City, a Constitutional Officer of the county, is the 26th County Clerk since 1692 serving the citizens as Keeper of the Records, Election Official and administering oaths.
The ceremony will take place outside in the front courtyard of the Cresse-Holmes House, built approximately 1704, headquarters to the Cape May County Museum located at 504 Route 9 North, in Cape May Court House. Following the ceremony attendees are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the Museum, decorated for the holidays and open for tours. An exhibit celebrating the history and legacies of former Cape May County Clerks will be open in the Doctor’s Room.
The public is welcome. Dress warmly for the brief outside ceremony which will be audible inside the Museum. Refreshments will be served.
