Atlantic City could once again see the Golden Nugget casino in town. The Press of Atlantic City reports today that the parent company of the Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget is interested in buying the Atlantic City Hilton Casino resort. That casino is threatened by being taken over by the bank that currently holds the mortgage on the property. Landry’s Restaurants is based in Houston, and owns various entertainment companies throughout the country. It says it could take advantage of the possible takeover opportunity at the Hilton.
