Three people continue to recover from a frightening ordeal in Absecon over the weekend. A state police officer and a passer by were able to rescue three people from a vehicle that overturned in a pond on Friday night. New Jersey State Trooper Jaime Ablett was off duty and driving home on Route 30 when he saw the vehicle upside down in the water. Ablett and another man jumped into the water and rescued two men and one woman from the car; the two men were unresponsive when they were rescued. All three were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
