CONTRACT INCREASES FOR TEACHERS LOWEST IN OVER 30 YEARS

Teachers in New Jersey received one of the lowest increases in the last half century. New data says that new contracts that were negotiated this year provided teachers with a slightly bigger than two percent raise. The numbers decrease the closer the contract was finalized closer to the end of the school year. The numbers come from the School Board Association. The numbers say that 42 districts agreed to wage freezes with local teacher unions.
