The New Jersey Highway Authority has awarded a $41 million contract to widen the Garden State Parkway just north of Atlantic City. The Parkway will be widened to a third lane between Atlantic City and milepost 41. The work is expected to begin shortly after Labor Day weekend and wrap up sometime in 2017.
