A lawsuit filed by Morey’s Piers against the City of Wildwood has ended with a consent order. The lawsuit was regarding the Open Public Records Act and Open Public Meetings Act. It began when the Morey Organization and others were questioning the return of BeachGlow to the Wildwood beach, which is an electronic dance music concert. The concert ended up moving to Atlantic City but lingering issues for how it was handled saw the two sides in court. The order says that Wildwood officials must respond to all future OPRA requests in a timely manner and public meeting agendas must be placed on the city’s website at least 48 hours prior to each meeting and if someone wants an email copy the city clerk will begin a database to send that out prior to each meeting.
