After serving Ocean City locals since the 1970’s, the local cable company plans to move their office out of Ocean City. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Comcast will close their customer service center trailer in Ocean City on May 28, and open a new Xfinity store in Mays Landing. The report says that according to the Board of Public Utilities, the local cable company must operate a seasonal customer service office within the resort. Comcast opened an Xfinity store in Rio Grande last February, to replace their Wildwood office that was flooded by a burst pipe in February 2015.
