The worries on coastal flooding have been extended. The National Weather Service has extended the Coastal Flood Warning until 6 pm on Sunday. The tides on Friday are expected to be especially troublesome, though the amount of rain and wind direction could dictate the rest of the weekend as well. Cape May could see 8.5 feet to 9 feet tides on Friday and around 8.5 on Saturday. Moderate to major coastal flooding is predicted, meaning that areas that don’t always flood could experience flood like conditions.
