COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS FOR MOST OF WEEKEND

A Coastal Flood Advisory has been extended through the entire weekend. The National Weather Service has extended the advisory through midday Sunday thanks to a low pressure system that is clobbering the Carolinas with rain and wind. Northeasterly winds scrubbed the fireworks Friday night at the Seafarer’s celebration in Wildwood Crest; the event takes place along Sunset Lake on Saturday. Wave action on a portion of Ocean Drive in Avalon has caused intermittent closures of the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge between Avalon and Sea Isle City.
