The Coast Guard medevaced a 32-year-old man from the 78-foot fishing boat he was aboard 60 miles east of Barnegat Light on Saturday.
Medevaced was Jeremy Rochelle, 32.
The Coast Guard received a call at 2:23 p.m. from a crewmember aboard the Tamara Alane, homeported in North Carolina, reporting Rochelle was possibly suffering from a ruptured hernia.
A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light arrived on scene and transported Rochelle back to the station to be transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel.
