COAST GUARD RECRUIT DIED OF HEART RELATED ILLNESS

A Coast Guard recruit who was training at the Cape May base died of a heart related illness last year.  The United States Coast Guard issued a press release saying Aaron Redd of Virginia collapsed during a timed run and died five days later at Cape Regional Medical Center.  A report was commissioned following Redd’s death.
