The Coast Guard rescued three people from the water after their 64-foot fishing boat capsized here, Wednesday. Rescued were William Hill, 38, from Brick, N.J., Matthew Morris, 19, from Point Pleasant, N.J., and William A. Lewis, 30, from Marshallberg, N.C. The Coast Guard recieved a call over VHF-channel 16 at 4:53 a.m. from a crewmember aboard the Atlantic Traveler reporting their hydraulic hose broke, they lost their clutch and steering during their transit and were drifting towards the rocks.
A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew arrived on scene and took all three people out of the water and transported them safely to the station. No injuries were reported.
