COAH REVIVED: COURT REVERSES DECISION TO ABOLISH

Everyone thought the Council on Affordable Housing was dead. Those people would be wrong. A court decision on Thursday reversed a decision by Gov. Chris Christie to abolish COAH. The independent agency had caught a lot of attention for continuing to change the rules local municipalities had to live by, regarding implementing affordable housing. A state appeals court made the ruling, saying on the legislature has the right to remove the agency. Christie’s office said they planned on fighting the ruling.
