CMC FREEHOLDERS APPROVE BACK TAXES DEAL FOR AIRPORT

Cape May County Freeholders approved a plan on Tuesday to eliminate liability for back taxes when a tenant breaks a lease at the county airport. The Memorandum of agreement was approved by the DRBA last week and will be considered for a vote next week by the Lower Township Council. The issue of back taxes has been unresolved since 2006 and has been a threat to promotion of new business at the 1,000-acre Cape May County Airport.
