There’s reason to be optimistic about real estate sales in Cape May County. County Clerk Rita Fulginiti told 98.7 The Coast that recordings of property transfers in the county are ahead of this time last August. So far in 2013 there have been 3,915 property transfers, 52 more than last year at this time. Property recordings and revenues to the County Clerk peaked significantly in 2005, then steadily declined. At the end of 2012, Fulginiti said the numbers showed a moderate increase in transfers and activity. It appears that the upward trend has continued through 2013.
