Closing arguments are expected in Superior Court on Tuesday morning in the murder case involving North Wildwood resident Robert Davies. The 49 year old Davies is accused in the fatal stabbing of tourist Lavern Paul Ritch back in August, 2007. On Monday, the defense had its chance to present its case and only one witness was called to testify. Davies has admitted to the killing, but says he did it in self defense. Davies started the trial acting as his own attorney before he sought the help of attorney Eric Shenkus. Judge Bernard DeLury is hearing the case in Mays Landing.
