A spokesman for Gov. Chris Christie talked about the potential shortfall in the budget for the next budget cycle. Michael Drewniak said that the state has a spending problem and that raising taxes will not be the answer. There were not broad based tax increases instituted in the state this past budget cycle either. Services and spending were cut, and in some areas, the state skipped payments.
