The highest ranking official in the state said the voters made a “dumb” move. Gov. Chris Christie appeared on WFAN in New York on Tuesday and said that voters made the wrong move in rejecting North Jersey casinos. The governor said he didn’t support video lottery terminals or any other expanded gaming options into North Jersey because the voters spoke in such a large number. Christie did say he believes sports gaming would come to the state by the time he leaves office and North Jersey will have casinos by 2021.
