Gov. Chris Christie held true to his beliefs by vetoing two bills passed by lawmakers in Trenton. Christie vetoed both Democratic initiatives that would have reinstated a “millionaire’s tax” and use those dollars for property tax relief for seniors and as a way to keep prescription drug cost down. In a release, Christie’s office said the Governor already put dollars back into the PAAD and Senior Gold programs to help with health care costs and that raising taxes is not the answer in this current economic climate.
