The Urban Enterprise Zone remains dead under the leadership of Governor Chris Christie. Christie vetoed a bill that would have diverted 30 percent of the sales tax collected by businesses in select communities to put be put into their Urban Enterprise Zone assistance funds. The Senate and Assembly approved it, Christie vetoed it.
