A package of bills to help Atlantic City will be signed today by Gov. Chris Christie. Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford said he will not be at the bill signing. The measures will create a state-run tourism district in the resort, with the idea that additional police protection would be provided to make the area cleaner and safer. Langford is upset because the city is going to be asked to pay for some of this additional protection and he feels that city officials were left out of the process.
