Christie took aim at a report done by NJ Spotlight, which says that net property taxes in the state are up 18.6 percent in Christie’s first three years versus six percent for Corzine’s last three years. Christie said the organization was an operative for former gubernatorial candidate Chris Daggett, and he was trying to win an election that he lost three years ago. The report cites the cut in the rebate program, which has increase the tax burden on elderly and working poor.
