Gov. Chris Christie said the huge rally in Trenton on Saturday did not change his mind whatsoever. Between 30,000 and 35,000 were said to be in Trenton on Saturday and they were showing their disapproval of the government cuts. The large numbers mostly included teachers and public workers. Christie has issued a 33-bill package that includes a hard 2.5 percent cap on tax increases and a “tool kit” to help local municipalities manage their contract negotiations with unions. Christie said the large number of people does not change anything in his plans.
