New Jersey Governor Chris Chrisite put pen to paper on Tuesday and signed a new bill into law that creates a new Atlantic City Tourism District. Christie arrived in Atlantic City Tuesday morning and signed the bill during a public event. During his comments, Christie announced that the Reval casino project in Atlantic City will benefit from funding provided by the state’s Economic Development Authority that will finish the casino site. In return, the state will receive 20 percent of the profits. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority will be getting broader powers under this new legislation. Among those in attendance for today’s bill signing was Cape May County Senator Jeff Van Drew.
