CHRISTIE SAYS HE WILL VETO AN TAX INCREASE IN STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS

Gov. Chris Christie presented his State of the State address on Tuesday. One of Christie’s strongest points was saying that he has already vetoed four tax increases and will veto any new tax increases in the future. The governor also noted more needs to be done to be competitive in bringing jobs to the state. Christie also discussed education, saying reform is needed. One specific area is the Opportunity Scholarship Act, which would give parents better choices about where to send their children for schools. Finally, Christie says treatment is needed for non-violent drug offenders and said drug addiction is a disease that can be treated.
