CHRISTIE SAYS GUADAGNO WASN’T HIS FIRST PICK

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno was not Gov. Chris Christie’s first choice to be his running mate. Christie said that the late Congressman Bob Franks was the person he first asked to run with him back in 2009. Franks turned him down because his wife didn’t want him to run. Franks was an adviser for the campaign that got Christie elected.
