Over half the state defeated their school budgets on Tuesday, and Gov. Chris Christie believes this shows that people want more reform. Christie again made public comments saying that property taxes should be capped at a 2.5 percent increase year-to-year. He also urged for more reforms when it comes to public workers benefits and pensions. Democrats have focused on reinstituting the “Millionaire’s Tax” as a way to bring more revenue into the state and fix some of the problems.
