CHRISTIE PUSHES FOR SCHOOL VOUCHERS AGAIN

A Republican initiative that has never gotten off the ground was pushed again this week by Gov. Chris Christie. The governor said during his State of the State speech that he wants to see the “Economic Scholarship Act,” passed by the legislature. The measure would essentially create a voucher system, allowing parents more flexibility in where their kids are sent to school. The bill hasn’t been able to garner Democrat support in the past and is unlikely to gain enough momentum this time again.
