CHRISTIE OFFERS DIRECTIVE TO ALLOW SPORTS BETTING

New Jersey casinos and racetracks can begin offering sports betting in New Jersey, according to Gov. Chris Christie. The governor issued the directive saying there will be no criminal punishment or action by the state to a casino or horse track that offers it. The move will likely be challenged by the 4 major sports leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) in the months ahead if an entity moves ahead with it. No federal judge has allowed the state to have sports book yet.
