While Gov. Chris Christie tries to raise his national image, the image in state continues to take a hit. A new Rutgers-Eagleton poll says that 44 percent say the word “trustworthy” is not associated with Christie. Only 17 percent believe that word describes Christie “very well.” Approval ratings and polls like this show a drop in recent months of opinion of Christie in the Garden State as he has turned his attention to growing his national brand with many trips out of the state.
